Younger generations are calling us to look at and abandon the relentless pursuit of ever upwards, optimistic expectation of human advancement. Instead, we are called to carve out hope amidst the daily struggles with pain and the discovery of joy.  This is not a smooth ride!  Life brings us bumps, bruises and crashes, along with breathless beauty and extraordinary acts of love. How we manage this journey matters for the future of all.  Unitarian Universalists do not have easy answers, but we do have sustaining hope.
