ART IN THE UNDERCROFT GALLERY

Right now, the Annual Member Art Exhibit is in the Undercroft. I had not seen it until last Sunday. We do have talented artists in our Congregation. Be sure to visit the Exhibit. This coming Sunday is the last Sunday it will be hanging.

In November, we will have a posthumous show of Julius Schwartz’s work. We will have more information about this show next week.

December brings the Annual Quilt Exhibit. We will hang the quilt show on Saturday, November 30, starting at about 10:30 a.m. The Art Committee would be delighted to hang your quilt in the exhibit. Please bring your quilts to the hanging.

Our annual photo show will be in January. Work on this show began in December. Here is an announcement from the show’s organizers and curators.
COMING IN JANUARY!

ANOTHER FIRST CHURCH PHOTO EXHIBIT
Brought to you by your First Church Art Committee!

As in years past, we are asking members, friends, and others affiliated with the church to submit a photo for our January photo exhibit. The photo can be from your iPhone, smartphone, or regular camera, and it should be a photo that you think is pretty good and that you are proud of. The photo can be of any subject: a tree, a person, a dog, a shoe, a sunset, a building, a lizard, grandchildren, and so on. The possibilities are endless. We would LOVE to have the children in RE classes, the teens, the young adults, and members and friends submit photos.

Everyone!
We need at least 50 photos for the exhibit.

Beginning in November, we will ask you to enlarge your photo and have it printed (directions for this will be on the submission form). Then, along with your submission form, you will place it in a PHOTO EXHIBIT BOX that will be placed in the church lobby and the Undercroft Gallery.

The Art Committee will put your photo on a black mat for the exhibit in
January, and after the exhibit closes, you can take your photo home!
