Council of Communities

Purpose

The Council of Communities serves as:

liaison between the minister and community committees, particularly facilitating communication;
to facilitate formal and informal communication between community committees for church events, building use and financial resources;
review the church calendar to minimize conflicts with programming and rentals;
provide support and appreciation for volunteers;
ensure committees are functioning well, need to be discontinued, or launch new ones;
ensure committees have healthy leadership;
keep staff informed of needs;
educates committee chairs and volunteers on how to be reimbursed or provided finances to make a purchase on behalf of church events.
