Purpose  

The Council of Communities serves as: 

• liaison between the minister and community committees, particularly facilitating communication; 
• to facilitate formal and informal communication between community committees for church events, building use and financial resources;  
• review the church calendar to minimize conflicts with programming and rentals; 
• provide support and appreciation for volunteers; 
• ensure committees are functioning well, need to be discontinued, or launch new ones; 
• ensure committees have healthy leadership; 
• keep staff informed of needs; 
• educates committee chairs and volunteers on how to be reimbursed or provided finances to make a purchase on behalf of church events.
