Every year, First Unitarian Church collects nominations for the Share The Plate offerings collected each Sunday. As you know, the donations are split 50/50 each Sunday with that month’s partner organization. The nomination and choice of the organizations is done in a democratic process. Members of the congregation take an active part in choosing 8 of the 12 organizations in the year. The other 4 months’ organizations are those with which First Unitarian has an ongoing relationship, including 1) UUJusticePA. 2) Khasi Hills,3) EECM (East End Community Ministries), and 4) PIIN (Pittsburgh Interfaith Impact Network.)
