Summary

Between now and October 2, we all have a rare opportunity to exercise our constitutional right to “petition the Government for a redress of grievances”. In this case, the grievance is hazardous air pollution in the Mon Valley.

Due to the hard work of Lisa, Ana and their colleagues, the EPA is currently proposing tighter regulations on facilities that produce Coke for steel making — including the Clairton Coke Works. Our speakers will explain how we can all submit comments to the EPA and help assure that the proposed new regulations are implemented and enforced.
