First Unitarian Church of Pittsburgh

Since 2000, PIIN (The Pennsylvania Interfaith Impact Network) has been organizing people of faith to change the balance of power for justice and equity in Southwestern PA. PIIN is a power building organization of 31 interfaith congregations, nonprofits and labor organizations focused on affecting change through the practices of community organizing. Through mentoring and training leaders, building relationships with those in power and holding them accountable, and planning and implementing powerful collective action, PIIN creates opportunities for  marginalized people, to build power for justice. After a democratic process involving thousands of Unitarian Universalists discussing the faith’s values and core theology over the past four-plus years, delegates at the 2024 Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) General Assembly voted decisively to approve a new statement of values and beliefs for Unitarian Universalism. First Unitarian Church offers many rooms for your celebrations and meetings. For large gatherings, we recommend the Sanctuary (300 people), the Schweitzer Room (50 people), and the Garden (80 people).
